The South and its charms (full day with lunch)

Departure in private vehicle with experienced driver-guide for a full day tour (09h00 to 17h00)

After a stop at Trou aux Cerfs extinct volcanic crater (overviewing the island), have a guiding tour of the first town of the island, Curepipe.

Then, drive through one of the biggest natural reserves of the island; stop at our sacred lake called Grand Bassin.

Lunch will be served in a restaurant at Avalon, before heading to the main highlight of the trip which is the unique seven colored earths of Chamarel.

The last visit is the exceptional and geological site called the Seven Colored Earths. This volcanic phenomenon strangely results in a parcel of land reflecting several colors. Stopover at the view on the waterfalls of Chamarel.

Drive back to the hotel and discover the unspoiled sceneries of the west coast: savanna, turquoise lagoons, mountain ranges, salt pans, fishing villages…

West: Departure of catamaran at 09h00 from the Black River Navigate along the west coast, encounter dolphins and discover our marine fauna. Have a relaxing sunbath while the crew prepares your BBQ lunch.

East: Departure of catamaran at 09h00 from Trou d’Eau DouceThe largest lagoon of the Island is located on the east coast, sail in all quietude in a turquoise sea along the coast the more rich in historical relics. Enjoy the afternoon sunbathing on the beach of Ile aux Cerfs.

Walk with lions (half day without lunch)

Experience a one-on-one adventure with the lions; unique lions’ park in the Indian Ocean at Casela Leisure & Nature Park. Feel the adrenaline, rush the sense of excitement and know how it is to be so close to these amazing creatures.

It is a once in a life time experience! On your arrival at the park, you will be guided to a special safari bus which will take you to the lions’ reserve where you will see the lions as well as tigers and cheetahs. The team will welcome you and will brief you with a short introductory chat on the lions and on the safety measures which should be taken during the adventure and the time you will spend with the lions. Then after, you will be introduced to the lions and their handlers to start your 1 hour walking with the lions in the forests.

Under sea walk – north coast (half day without lunch)

Grand Bay, considered the little local St Tropez of Mauritius, is a window on modern and local life style with a mix of activities; shopping, bar, nightlife, restaurants, water activities amongst others. The undersea walk is one of the fun activity you will find in Grand Bay and we will combine this activity with free time either to grab a bite and have a drink, or for shopping, or for discovery strolling around.

The platform of this Under-sea-walk activity is ecologic as it is run with solar energy. You will walk under the sea for 20-25 minutes and in all, the activity will last about 90 minutes. After what, you will enjoy Grand Bay as you wish. Itinerary:

• Time to leave the hotel will depend on the time of the activity. You have the vehicle for 5 hours
• Time of activity: 09:00,10:30,12:00,13:30 &15:00 for the activity
• Meeting point is in Grand Bay, near the famous Banana Bar
• From the jetty, the tour will last for 90 minutes, with briefing, preparation and 20-25 minutes under the sea

This activity is so much fun, as even if you are a non-diver, you have the possibility being under the water, with panorama on fish and all living creatures within the lagoon. It is a full 20 – 25 minutes’ bottom time excursion accompanied by experienced staff and the utilization of an international quality breathing air. The whole activity takes up to 90 minutes. Photos and videos may be made available as an option for purchase on a pen drive after the dive. Itinerary:
